Saturday horse racing tips: Betting expert Dave Nevison reveals his four best bets - Racing TV

An exciting four-year-old prospect on the Flat and a smart mare that looks well-handicapped over jumps are among four fancies for our website tipster on Saturday. Enjoy all the action from Newbury and Kempton live on Racing TV.

2.15 Kempton: Al Zaraqaan at 13-8 with BetVictor

This is an impressive-looking individual and could be very exciting this season - and the fact he has twice won after a fair break has to be in his favour.

He was unbeaten in three starts as a three-year-old, firstly in a minor event at Doncaster in June. He won a novice under a penalty over this course and distance after an absence, and then a handicap almost as strong as this one at Lingfield.

The Roseberry is not as strong as it was back in the day, and this provides a good opportunity for Al Zaraqaan on a day where his late owner has several runners vying to pay tribute on the track. Richard Kingscote has ridden plenty of winners for the Haggas stable over the winter and should be able to sit off a decent pace here.

2.45 Kempton: Streamline at 11-4 with William Hill

A very speedy two-year-old, he got back in the winning zone for the first time since at Wolverhampton last time and showed grit and determination after being in the vanguard throughout.

His previous two runs in slowly-run affairs probably didn't show him in the best of lights, but this race looks set to suit him. Ideally berthed with pace-setting types either side of him, he should get a very good tow into this race.

He has gone up 3lbs for his win last time but, given the right circumstances, I feel he could well be rated higher and I don't think it will be the weight that beats him. With the biggest names being in Dubai, Liam Keniry is a very able rider on a horse for whom the tactics look pretty straightforward.

2.20 Newbury: Dubai Angel at 9-2 with William Hill

Although now a 10-year-old and qualified for Veterans' races, Dubai Angel is very lightly-raced over fences.

He clearly had breathing issues with two operations since then, but it certainly looked to have done the trick last time with a smooth victory in a similar event at Musselburgh. That was only his second run for Dr Richard Newland and, if he has got him back in good physical health, Dubai Angel could be set to improve a fair bit.

He has been raised 10lbs, but he was regarded as very promising in his novice season and as well-handicapped from a mark of 132.

3.25 Newbury: Rose of Arcadia at 9-2 with Bet365

Her last run when stepped up in trip has worked out very well, with the runner-up going in twice since and the third landing a handicap from a mark of 122 by eight lengths.

Rose Of Arcadia is running off 120 here, which seems lenient. Her high-class pedigree is all about stamina (related to 1997 Hennessy winner Suny Bay) so it is no surprise that she improved when stepped up in trip last time, and it is likely she might improve again on this big galloping track (Suny Bay had his finest hour here at Newbury).

She just hung on last time out, but I am hopeful that in this competitive handicap her rider will be able to hold on to her a little longer. She can show herself to be an exciting prospect.
